Uptake Manager

Responsible for uptake/allocation management and vessel capacity steering of all services within scope including VSAs SCAs with the objective of optimizing yield utilization profitability and service delivery.Uptake/Allocation Management Manage uptake on vessel-voyage basis based on available data & tools to optimize daily booking acceptance for max profitExecute the model ship per service based on global flows market demand customer segments and cargo contributionSet and actively manage space allocation between countries on both long/short term basis with considerations to relative yields and customer commitments. Ensure full use of the entire network by active steering; directing new bookings to the right string to achieve maximum utilisation; timely and effective execution/communication of contingenciesMonitor booking uptake and engage stakeholders to take corrective actions when required to ensure maximum utilization of vesselsExecute contingency plans in close co-ordination with Head of Market Market Manager & Network to match seasonal supply/demand and minimize service disruptions/failures for customersWork closely with pricing team to understand and influence pricing decisions to optimize uptake Provide input for trade direction setting and network optimization to maximize network profitabilityStakeholder ManagementActively engage with stakeholders across the scope to optimise the working relationships across organisational entities and to ensure smooth network execution providing full visibility of product targets and up-to-date information for decision making at all levels.Coordinate with commercial teams and Trade managers on setting correct steering Suggest improvements to Network and/or processes as part the of the continuous improvement objective.CompetenciesOverall 5 years of experience with 2 years of experience in Shipping Logistics Supply chain industry is preferred but not limited to.Problem -solving acumen and tactical thinking both financial and operationalStakeholder management influence without authority and conflict resolutionDecisiveness execution and drive for results including being comfortable with and willing to take calculated risksOrganization; time management prioritizationNote: This role is for a UAE Nationals with Family BookWere committed to embracing the rich geographical diversity present in the communities where we operate including here in the UAE.
