Stock Controller team leader

OverviewThe Stock Controller Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing the stock control operations, ensuring that inventory levels are accurately maintained and optimized throughout the organization. This role involves leading a team of stock controllers, implementing best practices in stock management, and facilitating smooth operations within the warehouse and distribution centers.ResponsibilitiesLead, train, and mentor the stock control team to ensure high performance and adherence to proceduresDevelop and implement stock control processes that promote inventory accuracy and efficiencyConduct regular audits of stock levels and investigate discrepancies between physical and recorded stockUtilize inventory management systems to track stock levels and generate reports for analysisCollaborate with other departments (e.g. purchasing, logistics, sales) to ensure availability of stock and support sales initiativesManage stock movements, including receiving, storage, and distribution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standardsIdentify trends, make recommendations for stock optimization, and report on stock-related KPIsCoordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and maintain positive relationshipsEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures related to stock managementRequirementsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years' experience in stock control or inventory management, with at least 1 year in a leadership roleStrong understanding of stock control principles and best practicesExperience with inventory management software and systemsExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel#J-18808-Ljbffr
