Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional specializing in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. This position is based onsite in Abu Dhabi, requiring 3 days a week in the office.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.jsDesign and implement robust, scalable, and secure APIsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresOptimize applications for maximum performance and scalabilityWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient codeStay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Node.js developmentRequirements:5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on Node.jsStrong proficiency in TypeScriptFamiliarity with AI-assisted development workflows, including prompt engineering basics for code generation, reviewing/validating AI-generated code, and leveraging tools beyond basic (e.g., Claude Code or advanced LLM usage)Experience with event-driven architecture and microservicesSolid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQLExperience with version control systems such as GitExperience with Copilot or similar toolExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)Desired Skills (a big plus):Familiarity with Docker and containerizationPrevious experience working in an Agile/Scrum environmentContributions to open-source projects or personal projects showcasing your skillsIf you are passionate about Node.js development, possess strong technical and analytical skills, and are looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you!
