Senior architect / design manager

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the overall design management for all ongoing and upcoming projects.Manage and coordinate with external design consultants, architects, and engineers.Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and technical submissions.Ensure design intent is maintained throughout all project stages.Consultant Deliverables ReviewReview all consultant deliverables including concept, schematic, detailed design, and IFC packages.Ensure design quality, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.Identify gaps, discrepancies, and risks in design submissions and initiate corrective actions.Design Changes & Value EngineeringLead design change management processes across projects.Propose and implement value engineering solutions to optimize cost without compromising quality.Evaluate design alternatives and provide recommendations to stakeholders.Authority Submissions & ApprovalsManage all authority submissions and follow up for approvals.Coordinate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and master developers.Ensure timely approvals to avoid project delays.Compliance & StandardsEnsure all designs comply with:Local regulations and authority requirementsMaster developer guidelinesInternational design standards and best practicesMonitor adherence to design specifications throughout the project lifecycle.Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise with internal teams (project management, construction, commercial).Conduct design coordination meetings with consultants and contractors.Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.Documentation & ReportingMaintain proper documentation of all design stages and approvals.Prepare periodic design status reports for management.Track design progress against project timelines.QualificationsBachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Architecture.Professional registration or certification is an advantage.Minimum10–15 yearsof experience in architectural design and design management.Proven experience in real estate / mixed-use / large-scale developments.Experience working with developers or master developers is highly preferred.Strong exposure to authority approval processes (preferably in GCC/Qatar).
