Principal electrical engineer

Primary Purpose of the JobProvide technical design and engineering services in Electrical Engineering for all assigned engineering projects. Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with Qatar Energy procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.Required Experience and SkillsFifteen (15) years relevant post graduate experience in Oil & Gas industry with an technical expertise and track record of leading electrical engineering team in complex projects.Experience of all project stages (i.e. Feasibility/Concept Optimisation, FEED, EPIC, Commissioning/troubleshooting) is desired.Experience working as Client Engineer is preferable.Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and codes related to Electrical Engineering.Demonstrable coach/mentoring experience.Proven capability to manage time, cost and quality in design and engineering of projects within multiple projects handling environment.Self-motivated person with a desire to solve complex engineering problems, effective team leadership, good communications and presentation skills with fluency in English.Solid Technical Report writing skills (in English).Proficient power system analysis tools / software and in all Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint).Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Power / Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
