JOB SCOPESupervise material controller to conduct inventory control activities to ensure material requirements are planned and procured in a timely manner to meet defined (modifications) projects needs in line with Company quality standards.2. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATIONLead, run and analyse the respective reports using SAP to carry out the material control function for engineering (modifications) projects.Lead, audit & review the reservation lists to validate those necessary materials are replenished in time and the inventory is maintained at a cost-effective level to meet the (modification) project priorities.3. MATERIAL CONTROLVerify material requisitions issued by Engineering/Construction section for availability in the project inventory and warehouse stock and adjusts the quantities in the requisitions accordingly.Follow‑up outstanding purchase requisitions with the Procurement to expedite delivery of material in line with defined guidelines and quality standards.Maintain a list of Project Inventory; control and update project material inventory list based on material receipt and issue.Follow up with Procurement on processing material requisitions, delivery of material, prepare discrepancy reports and follow up for timely resolution while escalating matters as per delegation of authority for timely resolution.Coordinate between engineering and Procurement department for technical evaluation process.Coordinate with inventory store section for proper storage of all material especially long storage items as per defined procedures.Coordinate inspection of project material with inventory store section, inspection section and engineering services.Responsible to check the material thoroughly against the requisition and relevant purchase order and material certificate to ascertain that the material meets the specification and is correct in quantity.Position title: MATERIAL SUPERVISORCarry out accurate identification and tagging of all received project material with appropriate project description for easy identification. Keep track of heat numbers, etc. for positive material identification.Responsible for reserving and withdrawing materials from warehouse inventory and issuance to contractors based on requirements.Conduct material accounting for material utilized on completion of the jobs as per defined methodologies while returning unused or balance material to the warehouse after project completion.Coordinate with logistics/inventory staff to arrange transportation for delivery to stores/contractor yard/ construction site to support timely availability of material for project activities.4. QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, & ENVIRONMENTEnsure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.5. REPORTSPrepare timely and accurate inventory control records and statements.Preparation of specific reports for material control, stock and Nonstock upon request.6. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONSInternalProcurement, Supply Chain, Inventory and Warehouse staff.Project engineers to discuss (modification) project material requirements.ExternalContractors, Vendors/Suppliers, Consultants, Service Providers and Local customer representatives.7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSMinimum Qualifications:Diploma in Mechanical/Automation/ElectricalMinimum Experience:10 years of material supervisor experience including material controller team leading in a similar environment within the petrochemical industry.Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):Leadership skills.Knowledge of all related engineering material.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Time management.Teamwork and effective collaboration skills.IT proficiency/ MS office knowledge.Familiar with SAP system related to material transactions, reservations, and controlProblem solving skill.
