Logistics coordinator - Outbound

DescriptionJob Summary:The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of MSOL shipments outgoing of Dubai. The position will be working with customer care team warehouse staff and freight forwarders. The main objective is to prepare shipping documents and facilitate the shipments collection from our warehouse for timely delivery to customers.In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:Handle Outbound shipments: PMO shipments RMA shipments DG shipments Trax manual shipments and closing drop shipments in systemPrepare shipping documents in Global Trax/ manual shipping documents upon receipt of final weights and dimensions from warehouse teamPrepare Delivery Advise and HS Summary sheet from MIC for outgoing shipments Share draft shipping documents with Customer Care team for shipping release from customerApply Certificate of Origin in Dubai Chamber of Commerce websitePrepare AWBs for parcel shipments book shipments in SCO for heavy air shipmentsCoordinate with nominated freight forwarders to arrange collection/dispatch of goods based on the agreed IncotermsForward the POD to Customer Care team after material is collected or handed over to the forwarderClose shipments in Global Trax after dispatching the shipmentUpdate Outbound SharePoint tracker with complete shipment information in timely mannerVerify shipping documents for FANR regulated items and send documents to Shipping Assistant to apply for FANR approvalMonitor and expedite critical shipments with freight forwarders and/or clearing agentsFollow up with freight forwarders for Bill of Exit copies and PODsProvide freight quotes and rate comparison to Customer Care/ Sales teamRaise Rate Requests in logistics SharePoint for non-contracted lanesRelease Holds in TSEBack-up Inbound shipping activities as per business needsAlign with Emerson Ethical and trade compliance policiesOrganizationEnsure all agreed metrics are measured and appropriate analysis completedCarry out tasks to meet or exceed agreed-upon performance metrics and maintain Flawless Execution standardsPro-actively identify continuous improvement and innovation opportunities and implement related actionsOptimize usage and standardization of business tools in order to increase efficiencyWho you areStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.For this Role You Will Need:Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business engineering logistics or supply chain2 - 3 years experience in logistics and customer support experiencePreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:Good knowledge of Industry culture structure and productsExcellent Microsoft office and Adobe PDF skillsOur Culture & Commitment to You!At Emerson we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued respected and empowered to grow.
