Junior Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst

OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Financial Planning & reporting Analyst to support both FP&A and Accounting/Reporting functions. This role will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end financial reporting, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and insights. This is an excellent opportunity for a young finance professional looking to gain hands-on experience across planning, reporting, and core finance processes in a dynamic and growing environment.ResponsibilitiesFP&A / Planning & AnalysisSupport preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with departmental objectivesAnalyze actual financial performance versus budget and forecast, identifying and explaining variancesPartner with departments to collect inputs, track spending, and provide financial insightsDevelop and maintain Google sheet and Excel-based financial models to improve forecasting and reporting efficiencyPerform ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision-makingAccounting & ReportingAssist in monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial dataSupport preparation of management reports, including P&L analysis and cost center reportingAssist with account reconciliations, expense reviews, and validation of financial dataEnsure proper classification of expenses and consistency between accounting records and FP&A reportsSupport documentation and improvement of financial reporting processes and controlsPreparation and support for documentation related to Shareholders, Government agencies and AuditCross-functional & Process SupportEnsure smooth communication with all departments for accurate financial tracking and reportingHelp build and improve financial processes and reporting frameworks from scratch as needed.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business AdministrationExperience2-3 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, or a related finance roleTechnical SkillsAdvanced Excel and Google Sheet skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statementsBasic understanding of BI ToolsExperience working with ERP or accounting systems is a plusCommunicationExcellent proficiency in English (written and verbal)Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsPersonal AttributesProactive, hands-on, and eager to learnDetailed orientedStrong analytical mindset with high attention to detailAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamAdaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
