OverviewAbout the job HVAC COMMISSIONING SPECIALIST - OFFSHOREWe are looking for an experienced HVAC Commissioning Specialist to support offshore commissioning activities on an oil and gas project. The role is responsible for ensuring that all HVAC systems are mechanically complete, tested, balanced, verified, and safely handed over in compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable international standards.ResponsibilitiesSupport offshore commissioning activities for HVAC systems, including: Ventilation systems, Pressurization systems, Air conditioning systems, Smoke extraction systemsVerify mechanical completion and system readiness for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handoverReview, manage, and close HVAC punch lists in coordination with construction and QA/QC teamsCoordinate with construction, QA/QC, fire & gas, and commissioning teams to ensure proper work sequencing and interface managementWitness and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including: Functional testing, Airflow measurement and balancing, Performance verification and acceptance testingEnsure HVAC systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and safety requirementsInterface with fire & gas and safety systems to ensure HVAC integration complies with hazardous area and safety philosophiesSupport preparation, review, and completion of commissioning dossiers, test records, and handover documentationParticipate in offshore safety meetings, toolbox talks, and commissioning readiness reviewsMonitor and report commissioning progress, risks, and technical issues to the Commissioning Lead and Project Management TeamEnsure full compliance with offshore HSE regulations and safe work practicesKey QualificationsDegree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or equivalentMinimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projectsStrong background in HVAC installation, testing, balancing, and commissioning activitiesHands-on experience with: Ventilation and pressurization systems, HVAC systems interfacing with fire & gas systems, Smoke extraction systems, Hazardous area HVAC requirementsGood understanding of offshore commissioning processes and mechanical completion systemsAbility to work offshore on a rotational basisStrong coordination, communication, and interface management skillsGood knowledge of offshore HSE regulations and practicesPrevious experience as an HVAC Commissioning Specialist/Engineer on EPC offshore projects (Preferred)Experience working on offshore platforms, jackets, modules, and topsides (Preferred)Familiarity with commissioning databases and handover management systems (Preferred)VERTICALENGINEERING
