About the job Head of Motor UnderwritingWe are looking of a "Head of Motor Underwriting" for a our client, who is a leading insurance group based in Abu Dhabi. The position will be reporting to the CEO and leading a department a team of 15 employees.Job Responsibilities:The Head of Motor Underwriting will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting of all motor insurance policies, ensuring that they are priced correctly and accurately reflect the level of risk involved. The successful candidate will lead a team of underwriters and will work closely with other departments, including actuarial, claims, and sales, to ensure that our motor insurance products are competitive, profitable, and meet our customers' needs.Lead and manage the motor underwriting team, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively.Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies for motor insurance products.Work closely with the actuarial team to ensure that our motor insurance products are priced appropriately.Collaborate with the claims team to ensure that claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner.Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that our motor insurance products remain competitive and compliant.Work with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies for motor insurance products.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers and reinsurance partners.Participate in industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Finance.FCII, ACII Certificates is preferrable.At least 5 years of experience in motor insurance underwriting, with at least 2 years of experience in a management role.Strong knowledge of motor insurance products and pricing strategies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
