Field Support Engineer

<div><p>A field-based Field Support Engineer role within our team, responsible for the daily supervision, maintenance, and on-site support of a deployed radio communication system at customer (military) locations across the UAE. The role requires close coordination with back-office teams and direct customer interaction, working under daily supervision of a Support Manager.</p><h3>Job Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Perform day-to-day monitoring of infrastructure components, COTS hardware, radio equipment, and associated application software across sites</li><li>Carry out initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues</li><li>Identify complex issues and elevate to back-office teams with clear technical information and logs</li><li>Coordinate with customer and remote support teams to ensure smooth operations</li><li>Replace faulty hardware devices and components following established procedures</li><li>Deploy software updates and patches in a Linux-based environment</li><li>Produce incident reports and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes</li><li>Contribute to updating procedures and technical manualsProvide direct technical support to the customer</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory of deployed equipment, tools and consumables</li><li>Support movement of equipment to/from sites, ensuring proper transport, storage and labelling</li><li>Track equipment lifecycle (installation, maintenance, return, replacement) using asset management tools</li></ul><h3>Key Qualifications</h3><ul><li>3+ years in field support or technical support roles in an operational or customer‑facing environment</li><li>Hands‑on experience with electronic equipment, IT systems and radio communication systems</li><li>Experience in defense projects or critical infrastructure (preferred)</li><li>Experience integrating and testing complex systems (a plus)</li><li>Valid UAE driver’s licence (travel across 20 sites required)</li><li>Must be able to obtain UAE security clearance for military site access</li><li>Experience with Linux‑based systems</li><li>Knowledge of radio communication principles</li><li>Familiarity with Ansible or similar automation tools</li><li>Basic understanding of networking, RF equipment, and hardware/software integration</li><li>Excellent communication, coordination and analytical skills</li><li>Strong reporting capabilities</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Highly responsive and proactive</li><li>French and/or Arabic speaker (advantage)</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
