Electrical engineer

OverviewElectrical Engineer– Department: Power PlantExperience: 8 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 3 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities, demonstrating a strong need for effective leadership skills.ResponsibilitiesManage and execute daily electrical maintenance operations, including planning and resource coordination, strategy development for preventive and corrective measures, optimizing resource use, troubleshooting, and ensuring maintenance quality and efficiency to adhere to organizational standards.Prepare daily maintenance schedules and coordinate resources to ensure efficient execution.Develop strategies for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment modifications.Optimize resource utilization by controlling material consumption and work time.Execute electrical maintenance activities, including setup and configuration of electrical equipment such as VFDs and protection relays.Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment including cranes, motors, breakers, valve actuators, UPS, battery chargers, rectifiers, electrolyzers, fire & gas systems, and transformers.Monitor and document the quality and quantity of maintenance work to ensure adherence to standards.Verify the accuracy of wiring diagrams and troubleshooting records.Assess the effectiveness of maintenance activities in reducing downtime and meeting scheduled timings.Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university is required.Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environmentGood communication and presentation skills.Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.Skills & LanguageProficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).Additional InformationContact numberEmail ID#J-18808-Ljbffr
