Construction Manager- Doha / Ras Laffan

ResponsibilitiesManages all the construction activities and work performed by the Contractor at field management level, in close coordination with his Contractor’s counterpart. Perform supervisory / managerial functions at the level established by management for the position.Ensures Contractor’s HSE practices are acceptable as per HSE requirements and adequate measures and procedures are being implemented by everyone concerned, and that all risks are evaluated and planned for by the Contractor. Ensures adequate equipment is deployed and properly used by the workforce.Ensures that engineering and procurement progress is satisfactory and coordinates with other supervision team members (construction) in that respect.Ensures that planning is compatible with project objectives and that progress achieved is in line with the plan. Ensures that Contractor’s construction equipment, personnel and other resources are sufficient and timely mobilized and demobilized. Ensures that quality is acceptable with regard to contract requirements.Monitors work performed to ensure compliance with contract specifications and assesses deviations requested by Contractor. Performs spot checks of inspection dossier and conformity to SOPs and PID’s.Focuses on the early identification of potential problems and proposes appropriate solutions to company Project Management.Issues site instruction to Contractor when required and records facts related to potential or issued variation order requests.Reports progress to the Project Management Team. Coordinates with the other Operating Plant Superintendent, HSE Engineering and site Quality Control, as required.Complies with DEL’s policies and procedures in all areas impacting the business, including HSE, operating, commercial, financial, administrative and HR practices. Demonstrates zero tolerance to divergence. Highlights and requests correction where necessary.Adheres to the legislative requirements of countries where the DEL Project operates. Maintains the highest ethical standards in dealing with all persons. Preserves loyalty by working for the exclusive benefit of DEL throughout the duration of the assignment.Supports the rest of the team and proposes alternative courses of action wherever possible to facilitate efficient project progress. Participates in regular meetings to keep abreast of all issues relating to the Project. Discusses and reviews opportunities.Educational Requirements / QualificationsBachelor’s Degree (4 yrs.) preferably in mechanical engineering or equivalent or other relevant subjects, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.ExperienceMinimum of 15 years of relevant experience in oil/gas green field and brown field projects.Minimum of 6 years’ experience at a senior supervisory role.Skills and CompetenciesEffective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Good managerial skills in a diverse workforce setting.Interested candidates may share their updated resume to: (email protected)#J-18808-Ljbffr
