OverviewJobs in Brief:Provide feedback to the Senior Projects Engineer on asset drawings, plans and reports provided by Projects Affairs (PA) and ROMDAttend to Service Requests for drafting works, preparation and production of design drawings for other sections as required/instructedObtain feedback from relevant section staff to ensure that drawings and documents convey the correct messageLiaise with Geographic Information System (GIS) personnel with regard to as-built drawing requirements, document storage and extracting and modifying GIS files to Auto CADEnsure documents and evidence for decisions on changes to designs and the final designs themselves are stored in accordance with internal procedures and are updated within agreed timescalesProvide input for tender and work order specifications and work scope for asset design projectsUndertake site visits for field inspection of the design worksSupport the section and department in emergency management such as rainy season activities including attendance at Emergency Control Centre (ECC) and/or siteEnsure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures within the workplace and comply with any new work instructionsPrepare detail longitudinal section for design works.Prepare Plan and section drawing including road layouts etc.Prepare Auto CAD 3 D design for the ease visualization for complex design.Create data sheet (Excel) for Roads networks to convert into shape files (Arc Map GIS).Assist project management in preparing Microsoft Power Point presentation.Prepare quantity take-off.Perform other duties/ tasks as requiredQualificationsMinimum Diploma in a relevant subject (e.g. Architecture; Engineering or equivalent)Current/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantageAbility to produce Executives reports is compulsoryExperienceMinimum of 8 years experience as a draftsman and/or designer including experience within Road construction industryKnowledge and experience of modifying GIS files to Auto CAD preferredExperience in Microsoft Office Package (Excel & Word) and Auto CAD preferredAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in English is mandatory.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic will be an advantage
