Virtualization Architect

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Virtualization Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade virtualization solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency, scalability, resilience, and performance across on-premise and cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign end-to-end virtualization architecture blueprints covering compute, storage, network, and cloud integration.Plan and manage resource allocation, workload placement, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies within virtualized environments.Lead and oversee the implementation of virtualization solutions in collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams.Configure, manage, and optimize virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual storage resources.Develop a virtualization strategy aligned with business objectives, IT standards, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.Establish and maintain monitoring processes to track virtualization infrastructure performance, capacity, and health.Implement integration with cloud platforms to ensure service continuity, scalability, and high availability.Perform regular maintenance activities to ensure system stability, security, and minimal downtime.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, availability, and capacity issues within the virtualized environment.Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline virtual machine provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational efficiency.Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.Stay current with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and infrastructure best practices.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management.At least 3 years of experience in software-defined storage (VNX).Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud virtualization and high availability management.Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise virtualization platforms and infrastructure operations.Proven ability to design, implement, and support highly available and scalable virtualized environments.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex infrastructure issues.Experience working with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders.CertificationsVMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)Microsoft Azure FoundationGoogle Cloud FoundationBenefitsCompetitive Salary + Benefits Package#J-18808-Ljbffr
