This role owns the end‑to‑end telecom and voice infrastructure that connects on‑premise telco providers (ISDN) to our cloud‑hosted PBX and AI systems.The engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, troubleshooting and scaling voice connectivity while acting as the technical owner for telco vendors especially across UAE and Saudi Arabia.This is a hands‑on role. We are not looking for a paper architect or a pure IT admin – we need someone who understands real‑world telco problems, knows how carriers work in the Middle East, and can independently drive solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesTelecom & Voice InfrastructureOwn and maintain ISDN PRI (E1) connectivity terminated at office locationsConfigure and manage ISDN gateways / PBX hardware used for ISDN SIP conversionEnsure clean ISDN signaling (Q.931 / Euro ISDN / QSIG)Handle DID mapping CLI presentation channel capacity and scalingSIP PBX & Cloud IntegrationManage SIP trunks between on‑prem gateways and cloud‑hosted PBX (AWS)Troubleshoot SIP signaling, RTP media codecs, DTMF and audio issuesDebug common issues such as one‑way audio call drops and call‑setup failuresWork with Yeastar, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH‑based systems (or similar)Network & VPN ConnectivityEnsure stable site‑to‑site VPN connectivity for SIP/RTP trafficCoordinate with firewall setups (Fortinet or equivalent)Understand NAT traversal and voice‑specific networking constraintsVendor & Telco Management & Operations (Critical Part of the Role)Serve as the main technical liaison for telecommunications vendorsProactively identify, evaluate and integrate ISDN/voice carriersManage and coordinate the end‑to‑end process: provisioning, migrations, testing and cutoversResolve escalated issues by engaging directly with carrier NOCs and field engineersEnforce quality standards and challenge vendors on unacceptable routing, signaling or service qualityOperations & DocumentationPerform root‑cause analysis for telecom incidentsCreate and maintain architecture diagrams and runbooksDocument call flows, vendor dependencies and recovery proceduresSupport expansions, new office setups and vendor transitionsRequirementsStrong hands‑on experience with ISDN PRI (E1) configuration and troubleshootingSolid understanding of SIP, RTP codecs, DTMF and call flowsExperience working with PBX systems (Yeastar, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Cisco, etc.)Direct experience dealing with telco providers (not via middlemen only)Mandatory: Regional Vendor Knowledge (UAE & KSA)Proven knowledge of where and how to procure ISDN / voice connectivity in:UAE(DU Etisalat)Saudi Arabia(STC, Salam, Mobily, Zain)Familiar with:Local telco procurement processesDID allocation and CLI regulationsProvisioning lead times and dependenciesCommon carrier limitations and workaroundsAble to independently:Shortlist vendorsCoordinate installations and migrationsManage carrier escalations end‑to‑endPreferred ExperienceSite‑to‑site VPNs for voice trafficAWS networking basicsFortinet or enterprise firewall exposureExperience with AudioCodes, Sangoma or Patton gatewaysSBC or carrier interconnect experienceWhy Join ClearGridReal ownership: You’ll play a central role in building products that redefine how collections work in the futureMassive industry impact: This is one of those rare spaces where almost everything is still to be built.High‑growth team: We’re scaling fast and the systems, tools and processes you help create will shape our foundation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
