Telecom Engineer

<div><p>This is a remote position.</p><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>We are seeking a<b>Telecommunications Engineer</b>with a strong understanding of modern communication systems and a proactive systemsthinking approach. This role involves designing, maintaining and optimizing telecom infrastructure and integrations that support both internal operations and product capabilities particularly where AI and automation intersect with telecommunications.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design, implement and maintain<b>telecom infrastructure</b>including VoIP SIP systems and call routing architectures.</li><li>Collaborate with product teams to integrate<b>telephony features</b>into AI-enabled platforms (e.g. autodialers, call summarization transcription pipelines).</li><li>Evaluate and optimize call quality, latency and availability for real-time communication systems.</li><li>Deploy and manage<b>cloud-based telecom systems</b>(e.g. Twilio, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH or similar).</li><li>Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools for telecom-related metrics.</li><li>Participate in infrastructure scaling and automation efforts.</li><li>Document systems architecture and contribute to process improvements across the stack.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.</li><li>Solid understanding of<b>VoIP protocols</b>(SIP, RTP), PBX systems and network optimization for voice/data.</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or similar) and telecom APIs like<b>Twilio, Plivo</b>or<b>Vonage</b>.</li><li>Proficient in scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python, Bash) for automation.</li><li>Ability to work independently and take ownership with a high agency mindset.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in<b>English</b>.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>A chance to help shape high-impact systems from the ground up.</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration with product and AI teams.</li><li>A culture that prioritizes autonomy, learning and real outcomes.</li><li>Remote-friendly work culture with flexible hours.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
