Tally Clerk

The Tally Clerk is responsible for counting, recording, and verifying materials or cargo during loading, unloading, and storage operations. The role ensures accurate documentation of quantities, condition, and movement of goods in accordance with operational and safety procedures.ResponsibilitiesCount and tally cargo/materials during loading and unloading operationsVerify quantities against delivery notes, manifests, and invoicesRecord cargo condition and report damages or discrepanciesMaintain accurate tally sheets and daily recordsCoordinate with crane operators, forklift drivers, and supervisorsEnsure correct identification and labeling of cargoSupport stock control and inventory verificationFollow safety and operational procedures at all timesSubmit daily tally reports to supervisorsAssist during inspections and auditsRequirementsHigh school certificate or equivalent1–3 years experience as Tally Clerk or similar role preferredExperience in port, warehouse, or yard operations is an advantageBasic math and record-keeping skillsAbility to read delivery documents and cargo lists#J-18808-Ljbffr
