We’re Hiring: Service & Maintenance Engineer – Fire Alarm SystemsIndustry: Fire Protection & Safety SolutionsEmployment Type: ContractOverviewThe Fire Fighting System Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and other related equipment. The technician ensures that all systems are functioning properly and in compliance, state, and federal fire safety regulations.Job Responsibilities & DutiesInstall fire protection systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, fire pumps, suppression systems) according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standardsPerform wiring and connection of fire alarm control panels, detectors, and other componentsInspect fire protection systems regularly for proper functioning and compliancePerform functional tests on alarms/sprinklers/other equipment, document results, recommend corrective actions as neededTest and calibrate fire detection systems and equipment per manufacturer's specificationsPerform routine maintenance on fire systems (replace batteries, check water pressure, inspect electrical connections)Diagnose and troubleshoot fire protection system issues; repair/replace faulty componentsComplete repairs and maintenance efficiently and timelyMaintain accurate records of inspections, tests, maintenance, and repairsEnsure compliance with fire codes, standards, regulations, NFPA standardsAdvise on upgrades or replacements for complianceCommunicate with clients about inspection findings, maintenance needs, solutionsSupervise assistants or trainees as neededKnowledge of fire safety codes, NFPA standards, regulationsProficient use of tools and equipment for installing/maintaining fire protection systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, manufacturer instructionsTimely completion of maintenance activitiesTraining Certificate on Fire Extinguisher Service is mandatorySkilled in maintenance and fault rectification4–5 years’ experience in the same fieldExperience in Hose Reel, Fire Extinguisher, SCBA Inspection & MaintenanceCandidate must be capable to pass the PTW examQualificationITI/ITC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of work experience in installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm systemsGCC experience is mandatoryOperational ReportingService ManagerFunctional ReportingService & Maintenance EngineerAdditional SkillsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fire systems quickly and effectivelyTimely submit service reports to Team Leader#J-18808-Ljbffr
