Senior Urban Designer

Job DescriptionAs a Senior Urban Designer, you will play a key role in shaping mid- to large-scale master plans and urban design projects across the Middle East. You will help translate vision and strategy into buildable design frameworks through spatial analysis, land-use planning, 3D modelling, and visual storytelling. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will integrate planning, landscape, infrastructure, and various other disciplines’ inputs into cohesive, data-driven design outcomes.This role requires a proactive leader who can take ownership of project deliverables, manage weekly client presentations, and oversee the preparation of Concept Master Plan (CMP), Detailed Master Plan (DMP) and DCR+PCRpackages. The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with technical expertise and strong communication skills to deliver world-class urban environments.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine concept and detailed master plans, spatial frameworks, and design guidelines.Prepare land-use budgets, population and GFA models, and associated spatial analytics using GIS tools.Build and iterate 3D models in SketchUp, Rhino, and other modelling platforms to test massing, density, and visual character.Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordination across infrastructure, mobility, and environmental systems.Produce presentation materials, diagrams, and reportsthat clearly communicate design intent to clients and authorities.Support preparation of Development Control / Urban Design Guidelinesand design codes.Contribute to research, benchmarking, and integration of generative design and digital workflows(Grasshopper, Python, or equivalent).Mentor junior team members in spatial analysis, graphics, and presentation standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or Urban Planning or similar; Master’s degree preferred.8–10 years’ experiencedelivering master plans or large-scale urban design projects.Prior experience working in the GCC regionpreferred.Demonstrated ability to integrate GIS and 3D modellingin design workflows.Experience producing design guidelines, DCRs, or regulatory frameworksdesirable.Understanding of regional authority standards.Passion for innovation and awareness of emerging tools in digital urbanism.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Work on landmark projects around the world and embrace opportunities to make an even bigger impact in the communities you care about.
