This role ensures seamless operations across on-premises infrastructure and modern cloud platforms—playing a mission‑critical part in stability, modernization, and secure digital transformation initiatives.Job DescriptionAs a Senior System Administrator, you will oversee hybrid operations spanning VMware-based data centers, Azure and GCP cloud environments, and enterprise collaboration platforms. You will lead high‑impact workload migrations, ensure infrastructure resilience, and optimize server, storage, and network performance. The role involves deep collaboration with cybersecurity, Dev Ops, and workspace teams to build secure, scalable, and automated environments. With responsibility for identity, security, and modern endpoint management, this role requires strong hands‑on capabilities, strategic thinking, and technical leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage hybrid IT operations across on-prem VMware clusters and Azure/GCP cloud platforms.Lead workload migration and repatriation projects (e.g., Azure West Europe → Qatar Central).Administer and optimize Windows and Linux systems (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu).Oversee storage, compute, and network resource optimization.Manage enterprise workspace solutions: O365, Intune, SCCM.Implement secure IAM solutions using Azure AD + Hybrid Active Directory.Develop CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with Dev Ops teams.Automate provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and high‑availability architectures.Maintain documentation, audit compliance, and operational best practices.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments.Strong expertise with VMware, v Sphere, HA/DR, and enterprise virtualization.Hands‑on cloud experience across Azure and GCP.Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL/SUSE/Ubuntu) and Windows Server.Experience in large government or enterprise environments.Proficiency in O365, Intune, SCCM, and identity/security technologies.Strong automation skills with Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or equivalent.Preferred CertificationsMicrosoft Azure: AZ‑104, AZ‑305Red Head: RHCSA / RHCEVMware: VCP‑DCVGoogle Cloud: GCP ProfessionalITIL Foundation (advantage for service governance)Recruitment Pro TipEmphasize successful hybrid migration or repatriation projects—especially those involving multi‑cloud (Azure/GCP) and VMware environments—as these real‑world transformation achievements strongly stand out for government sector system administration roles.
