Senior Infrastructure and database Architect

<div><p>The Infrastructure and Database Architect is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and management of the organization's core computing environment and data architecture. This role bridges the gap between hardware/cloud infrastructure and high-performance data systems to ensure a scalable, secure, and resilient ecosystem that supports business growth.</p><h3>About the Role</h3><p>This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization’s infrastructure and data architecture are robust and efficient, facilitating business growth through strategic design and management.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><b>Architectural Design:</b>Create high-level blueprints for hybrid, on-premise, and cloud-native infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li><li><b>Database Engineering:</b>Design and optimize relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database schemas, ensuring data integrity, high availability, and efficient indexing.</li><li><b>Cloud Governance:</b>Manage cloud resources, implement cost-optimization strategies, and oversee migration projects from legacy systems to modern cloud environments.</li><li><b>Infrastructure as Code (IaC):</b>Standardize environment provisioning using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.</li><li><b>Disaster Recovery (DR):</b>Design and test comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to ensure zero data loss and minimal downtime (RPO/RTO).</li><li><b>Performance Tuning:</b>Monitor system health and perform deep-dive troubleshooting for database bottlenecks, server latency, and network issues.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><b>Education:</b>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).</li><li><b>Experience:</b>7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a specialized Architect or Senior Lead role.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills</h3><ul><li><b>Technical Proficiency:</b>Expertise in database engines (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).</li><li>Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li><b>Certifications (Highly Desirable):</b>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified: VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert), Oracle Database Administration/Architect certifications.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills</h3><ul><li><b>Analytical Thinking:</b>Ability to solve complex architectural challenges and anticipate future scalability needs.</li><li><b>Communication:</b>Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value for stakeholders and C-level executives.</li><li><b>Leadership:</b>Experience in mentoring engineering teams and leading cross-functional projects.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
