Senior Infrastructure and database Architect

The Infrastructure and Database Architect is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and management of the organization's core computing environment and data architecture. This role bridges the gap between hardware/cloud infrastructure and high-performance data systems to ensure a scalable, secure, and resilient ecosystem that supports business growth.About the RoleThis role is pivotal in ensuring the organization’s infrastructure and data architecture are robust and efficient, facilitating business growth through strategic design and management.ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Design: Create high-level blueprints for hybrid, on-premise, and cloud-native infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Database Engineering: Design and optimize relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database schemas, ensuring data integrity, high availability, and efficient indexing.Cloud Governance: Manage cloud resources, implement cost-optimization strategies, and oversee migration projects from legacy systems to modern cloud environments.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize environment provisioning using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.Disaster Recovery (DR): Design and test comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to ensure zero data loss and minimal downtime (RPO/RTO).Performance Tuning: Monitor system health and perform deep-dive troubleshooting for database bottlenecks, server latency, and network issues.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).Experience: 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a specialized Architect or Senior Lead role.Required SkillsTechnical Proficiency: Expertise in database engines (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Certifications (Highly Desirable): Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified: VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert), Oracle Database Administration/Architect certifications.Preferred SkillsAnalytical Thinking: Ability to solve complex architectural challenges and anticipate future scalability needs.Communication: Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value for stakeholders and C-level executives.Leadership: Experience in mentoring engineering teams and leading cross-functional projects.#J-18808-Ljbffr
