Senior Engagement Manager

Job OverviewThe Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions. By applying frameworks such as the Well‑Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework, you will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, guide engineering discussions, validate solutions against business goals, manage technical risks, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer business outcomes.Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.Decompose complex technical problems into actionable deliverable solutions.Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.Validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks.Achieve and maintain relevant AWS certifications and develop domain‑specific expertise.Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business audiences.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in cloud computing.Minimum 10 years in project management of technical programs.Minimum 5 years of experience consulting with enterprise customers and working on customer cloud transformation activities.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).AWS experience preferred.Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.Experience applying AWS frameworks such as Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision‑makers.Inclusive Culture & EEO StatementThe Amazon Web Services team values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply regardless of traditional backgrounds.
