Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician (Telecom Network)

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | Posted on 04/09/2025We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in telecom network equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment and systems used in telecommunications networks. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Installation and Commissioning:Install, configure, and commission electro-mechanical systems and equipment for telecom equipment, including base stations, generator sets, solar power systems, backup battery systems, AC and DC power systems, cabling and cooling systems.Ensure all installations comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and company policies.Maintenance and Repair:Perform routine and preventive maintenance on telecom power equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Diagnose and repair faults in electro-mechanical systems, including power generators, AC and DC systems, cooling units, and other equipment.Troubleshooting:Identify and fix technical problems in telecom site systems, such as power failures and equipment malfunctions, and act in line with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).Use diagnostic tools and software to analyze system performance and implement corrective actions.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operation of telecom systems.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.Compliance and Safety:Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures during installations and repairs.RequirementsExperience:3-5 years of hands-on experience in field services, with a focus on Electro-Mechanical equipment.Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecom site equipment, hybrid power systems, generators, solar power systems and cooling units.Skills:Strong knowledge of telecom networks, power systems and components.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other testing equipment.Familiarity with AC and DC power systems, power distribution systems, and cooling systems.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Education:Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.#J-18808-Ljbffr
