Senior Cost Control Engineer

<p>The role involves developing and implementing cost control strategies to ensure effective financial management and improved profitability. It includes monitoring financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities, preparing reports and forecasts, and conducting variance analysis for senior management. The position also requires close coordination with project managers and department heads to track costs and maintain budget control.</p><p>Additionally, the role oversees the review of financial transactions to ensure compliance, conducts audits to resolve discrepancies, and supports the training and development of cost control staff. It also involves collaborating with teams to drive efficiency initiatives, staying updated on industry best practices, and providing guidance on cost control matters, while ensuring adherence to company policies and performing other assigned duties.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and implement cost control strategies and procedures to ensure effective financial management</li><li>Monitor and analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability</li><li>Prepare and present financial reports, budget forecasts, and variance analysis to senior management</li><li>Coordinate with project managers and department heads to track and control project costs</li><li>Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and budget limits</li><li>Conduct regular audits of financial records and procedures to identify and resolve discrepancies</li><li>Train and mentor cost control staff to ensure their understanding of cost control processes and procedures</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost reduction initiatives and drive efficiency</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost control and financial analysis</li><li>Provide guidance and support to the finance team on cost control matters</li><li>Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor / Master Degree in Accountant or Engineering from an accredited university.</li><li>Minimum 15 years’ experience in related field on national / international major initiatives and developments.</li><li>Extensive knowledge and experience in project cost.</li><li>Extensive experience in managing and prioritizing projects costs.</li><li>Ability to present budgeting plans and requirements to senior management and other government authorities.</li><li>Ability to negotiate with multiple stakeholders to secure cost for projects</li><li>Capable to fluently communicate in Arabic and English</li><li>Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Job Info</h3><ul><li>Job Identification 15122</li><li>Job Category Projects Management</li><li>Posting Date 03/30/2026, 05:42 AM</li><li>Apply Before 04/30/2026, 12:00 AM</li><li>Degree Level Bachelor's Degree</li><li>Locations Abha, Aseer Province, Saudi Arabia</li></ul>#J-18808-Ljbffr
