Senior Commissioning Engineer – Doha, QatarWe are looking to hire a Senior Commissioning Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.Minimum 12‑14 years' experience in relevant construction and installation activities in oil & gas projects.Fluency in English is a must.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent QP as Commissioning Team Leader for all assigned projects offshoreReview and comment EPIC Contractor SOW pre‑commissioning, commissioning and completion activitiesLead project pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up engineering support services rendered by outsourced contractors, ensuring compliance with QP regulations, project commissioning procedures and industry best practicesReport to Head, Commissioning on all commissioning related matters under execution for successful completion of commissioningImprove QP commissioning procedures, initiate and contribute to the commissioning deliverables standardizationDevelop Commissioning Strategy, Commissioning Plan and obtain approval in consultation with End User and in accordance with Contract requirements and in close coordination with Head, Commissioning and EPIC ContractorLead the Commissioning Team in developing and arranging approval of the commissioning procedures for all systems and facilitiesOrganise and ensure availability of the Commissioning Team and arrange required manpower support from End User and ContractorPlan the commissioning activities and ensure implementation according to the approved Commissioning Plan and project scheduleDetail activities into required systems and subsystems to facilitate commissioning and start‑upDevelop and arrange for approval of all commissioning handover checklists and certificates and coordinate with Contractor/Vendors to resolve system/equipment performance problemsWork closely with project Construction Team, End User and Contractor to coordinate punch listing activities from beginning to end of the commissioning process including clearance and close‑outFrequent long working hours may be required, including outdoor field workOperate in a multi‑disciplinary, multi‑cultural environment requiring special coordination and expediting skills; sound interpersonal relationships and effective communication within QP and Contractor teamsCoordinate schedule for vendors' presence/visits at site(s), on‑job training to assist in the commissioning of critical equipment and processesParticipate and contribute to all safety design review and studiesParticipate on FAT as requiredReview multidiscipline engineering deliverables from commissioning approachesSupport and assist project team in project close‑out gateRequirementsBSc (or) BE in Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university with extensive commissioning experience of Oil & Gas projectsGood skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolutionGood communication skillsExposure to commissioning software ICAPS and similarA minimum of eight to ten (12 to 14) years’ experience in relevant construction and installation activities in oil & gas industry, experienced in implementation of construction industry best practices, systems, processes and standardsMulti‑discipline engineering exposure with troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills considered essentialExperience in offshore projects construction, installation activities strongly preferredStrong technical experience in commissioning of F&G Systems, DCS, IC System, Power Management Systems, Instrument air, Wellhead Control Systems etc. offshoreApplication QuestionsWhere are you located?What's your nationality?What is your notice period; when can you engage this job?Please only apply and press yes if you have read the requirements, education, experience and certifications, and match these.LocationDoha, Qatar
