Senior Buyer/Purchasing Officer

DescriptionIn this role, you will manage the end-to-end procurement of mechanical equipment, spare parts, and project components, ensuring timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and compliance with company policies. You will act as the key liaison between suppliers, logistics, and project teams to support operational schedules and project requirements.Role & ResponsibilitiesHandle full procurement lifecycle for heavy mechanical equipment, spare parts, and components for oil & gas projectsIdentify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international vendors and suppliersNegotiate pricing, contracts, Incoterms, and delivery schedules to ensure best value and on-time procurementCoordinate with logistics, freight forwarders, and suppliers to manage shipping, customs clearance, and delivery timelinesMonitor purchase orders, shipment status, and material availability to support project and manufacturing schedulesMaintain strong vendor relationships and ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and quality standardsCollaborate with engineering, warehouse, and project teams to support sourcing and logistics requirementsSkills & CompetenciesStrong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsStrategic sourcing and vendor management experienceContract negotiation, pricing, Incoterms, and delivery schedulesPurchase order tracking, material availability, and project supportStakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationEducation & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of UAE experience purchasing mechanical equipment or spare parts for oil & gas projectsProven experience in vendor management, supplier development, and logistics coordinationExperience with manufacturing or oilfield equipment companies preferredExperience in logistics coordination, shipping, and customs clearanceStrong understanding of oil & gas procurement and complianceMandarin (Chinese) proficiency is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
