Senior Backend Developer

Role OverviewNakhla is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to take ownership of core backend systems, drive architectural decisions, and help scale the platform as we grow. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in designing distributed systems, building reliable APIs, and creating maintainable, high-quality services that power intelligent automation products.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support Nakhlas core applications and data pipelines.Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that can evolve with product needs.Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and machine learning teams to deliver end-to-end features.Optimize database schemas, queries, and data flows for high efficiency and robustness.Implement automated testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines to ensure production stability.Review code, mentor engineers, and promote best practices in engineering, security, and documentation.Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and system design reviews.Diagnose issues across distributed services and ensure high-quality observability and debugging workflows.Required Qualifications5+ years of backend development experience in production environments.Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, Node.js, or similar.Experience building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs at scale.Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools.Strong understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven patterns.Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.Preferred QualificationsExperience with microservices architectures and service-oriented design.Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).Exposure to ML-driven products or data-intensive systems.Experience in fast-paced startup environments.Security best-practices expertise (authentication, authorization, secrets management).What We OfferOpportunity to help shape the technical foundations of Nakhlas next-generation platform.High-impact role with autonomy and room to innovate.Collaborative, fast-moving environment with a product-focused engineering culture.Competitive compensation and potential equity upside.#J-18808-Ljbffr
