Security Engineer - Zscaler & NGFW

Help AG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer with strong expertise in the Zscaler Security Suite and Next Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto and FortiGate) to configure and manage the secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise security solutions. The role requires hands‑on engineering, troubleshooting, and architecture experience in large, complex environments, supporting both on‑prem and cloud‑based infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact for managed security control clients, offering expert guidance and support.Design, deploy, and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions.Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architecture using Zscaler.Implement, and maintain Palo Alto and Fortigate Firewalls with HA and Layer7 Security features including policies review and optimization.Strong hands‑on experience in SSL/IPsec VPN configurations and troubleshooting.Handle firewall migrations, upgrades and configuration backups.Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the incident response team.Conduct regular security assessments and audits to validate the security controls and compliance of managed clients.Collaborate with internal teams and managed clients to integrate security measures seamlessly into their environments.Provide hands‑on support for troubleshooting, configuration adjustments, and optimization of security tools.Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices to proactively address potential risks.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to security configurations, processes, and procedures.Participate in the evaluation and selection of new security technologies and tools to enhance our managed services.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Should have at least 6+ years demonstrable industry experience.Should have expert and in‑depth knowledge in enterprise security with Zscaler suites (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS and Zero Trust security principlesRelevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, Fortinet‑NSE and Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA).Should have solid understanding of Network Security technologies and troubleshooting techniques.Should have fair understanding of ITIL change management, problem management and incident management.Should have experience to work with strict SLA’s.Experience in incident response, security assessments, and compliance audits for environments.Should have demonstrable experience of working in extreme pressure and customer facing environments.Self‑motivated and have a professional attitude.Excellent communication and listening skills.Must possess good decision‑making skills, be very organized and detail oriented.Skills in handling technical conflicts, organizational challenges, planning and implementation challenges.Judgment, decision making, cooperation, sensitivity to others, technical problem‑solving, system troubleshooting, and business writing.BenefitsHealth insurance with one of the leading global providers for medical insurance.Career progression and growth through challenging projects and work.Employee engagement and wellness campaigns activities throughout the year.Excellent learning and development opportunities.Annual Flights Tickets.Inclusive and diverse working environment.Flexible/Hybrid working environment.Open Door Policy.About UsHelp AG is the cybersecurity arm of e& enterprise (formerly Etisalat Digital) and provides leading enterprise businesses and governments across the Middle East with strategic consultancy combined with tailored information security services and solutions that address their diverse requirements, enabling them to evolve securely with a competitive edge.Present in the Middle East since 2004, Help AG was strategically acquired by e& (formerly Etisalat Group) in Feb 2020, hence creating a cybersecurity and digital transformation powerhouse in the region.Help AG has firmly established itself as the region's trusted IT security advisor by remaining vendor agnostic, trustworthy, independent, and cybersecurity focused.
