We bring to the table integrated, tailor‑made, financed, technology‑enabled, and data‑driven facility management solutions that improve energy and asset performance for cities, communities, industries, and properties.The company is committed to investing in countries through empowering the local workforce, implementing smart technology solutions and know‑how, and delivering financed and guaranteed energy‑efficient projects for our customers.Job TitleHSEQ OfficerSUMMARYEnsures policy implementation and compliance with HSEQ proceduresPRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains awareness of active and developing situationsParticipate in planning meetings to identify any health and safety concerns in the operations daily work‑planEnsure preparation and implementation of Site Safety and Health PlanConducts toolbox meetings and supervise departmental technical TBT for safe worksResponsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situationsReviews and approves all subcontractor’s safety plansConducts investigations of all accidents and near‑missesReview the Incident Action Plan for safety implicationsImplement corrective actions to mitigate unsafe acts/ conditionsConducts job hazard analysis and responds to employees’ safety concernsMay exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is requiredInspects the site to ensure it is a hazard‑free environmentVerifies that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to related government agenciesVerifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for useConduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measuresInspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non‑conformityStop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthyRecord and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claimsCarry out PTW Monitoring and reviewTrains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situationsAdvise and instruct on various safety‑related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)Watches out for the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situationsEnsure proper waste management (Waste segregation, storage, and disposal)Responds to employees’ safety concerns and serves as link between employees and site management.EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / KNOWLEDGEBachelors degree or a high school diploma or equivalentDemonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.EXPERIENCEPrefer Associate Degree/Diploma in NEBOSH Health & Safety environment or minimum of 3‑year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position, technical report writing is a plus.SKILLS/ABILITIESStrong organisational skills, interpersonal skills and a positive customer service attitudeStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to delegate tasks and supervise othersGreat multi‑tasking abilities and attention to detail.#J-18808-Ljbffr
