Let's talk about you.OverviewAs a Salesforce Technical Architect at Horizontal Digital, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for technical architecture across the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring that solutions meet both business and technical requirements. You are a hands-on architect who can operate as a player/coach, guiding development teams while actively participating in technical design, solution reviews, and delivery. You will collaborate across functional, technical, integration, and data workstreams, and communicate solution choices clearly to both business and IT stakeholders. This role requires strong Salesforce technical and system integration expertise, with a focus on learning and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesDesign and own end-to-end Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, and industry-specific cloudsCollaborate with business stakeholders and functional leads to translate requirements into scalable technical solutionsEvaluate and design integration patterns between Salesforce and external systems using APIs and middlewareEnsure all solutions align with enterprise architecture standards for scalability, security, and performanceGuide development teams through design reviews, best practices, and code quality oversightDefine API standards and data models to support a well-architected approachSupport pre-sales activities through solutioning, effort estimation, and architecture advisoryCreate and maintain technical documentation including ERDs, sequence diagrams, and architecture blueprintsQualificationsProven experience designing and implementing scalable Salesforce technical architecturesComfortable working directly with clients to shape technical solutions aligned with business goalsAble to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholdersSkilled in guiding and mentoring developers, and conducting code and design reviewsDeep understanding of Salesforce platform limits, security model, deployment architecture, and performance considerationsStrong background in integration approaches including RESTful APIs, middleware platforms, and batch/real-time interfacesFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce release strategiesWhat you bring6+ years of client-facing consulting experience with a focus on Salesforce architecture and solution design6+ years of hands-on experience across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience CloudPreferred experience with Data Cloud, Field Service, or Revenue CloudExperience working within cross-functional project teams to understand requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutionsStrong system documentation skills (ERDs, process flows, sequence diagrams, etc.)Demonstrated experience designing scalable integration patterns with external systemsRequired certifications: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce, and one or more Salesforce Architect domain certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect)Experience working in Agile project methodologies, including estimation and planning across multi-disciplinary teamsThe above description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
