Job Description As a Sales Professional at Medtronic, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. Your role will involve developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals. You will pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services. Additionally, you will promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services, conduct market research including customer and competitor activities, and implement market development plans/strategies while communicating customer feedback on new products and modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts
- Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
- Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services
- Conduct market research including customers and competitors activities
- Implement market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
- Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations, and Marketing
As an established and productive sales professional at Medtronic, you will manage multiple small to mid-size accounts, sell products and/or services to a group of clients, and identify new and potential customers. You will work independently with general supervision, building relationships and achieving individual sales targets within the product area and/or account. Your role will have a direct impact on achieving the departments sales results and may involve setting objectives or goals for individual or team accounts.
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years of experience
- OR Associates Degree AND 4+ years of experience
- OR Bachelors Degree AND 2+ years of experience
- Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
In this role, you may influence parties within your own job function at an operational level, obtain or provide information requiring some explanation or interpretation, and communicate with external customers and/or vendors to manage relationships and close sales. You will also have the opportunity to provide guidance and assistance to entry-level sales professionals and/or support employees, receiving general instructions on routine work while providing detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
