Job DescriptionThe Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking motivated and skilled Postdoc/Research Associate/Research Assistant to join our research team.The successful candidate will contribute to a cutting‑edge project focused on developing Next‑Gen Multimodal AI for Enhanced Detection, Recognition, and Scene Analysis using UAVs. The candidate will assist the principal investigator in developing and applying advanced Artificial Intelligence methodologies, including Machine Learning and Deep Learning, for analyzing multimodal data. A significant aspect of the research will involve exploring and integrating large language models (LLMs) to incorporate the multimodality of data. This project offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of computer science, multimodal data, natural language processing, LLMs, and law enforcement.ResponsibilitiesContributes to the design, development, and evaluation of advanced AI/ML/DL models for detection, recognition, and scene understanding in UAV‑based applications.Develop and analyze multimodal learning frameworks that integrate visual (RGB, thermal, video), sensor, and contextual data for enhanced situational awareness.Investigate and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal foundation models to support reasoning, semantic understanding, and decision‑making from heterogeneous data sources.Design and implement effective multimodal fusion strategies to combine insights from vision‑based analysis, textual/contextual information, and UAV sensor data for public safety and law enforcement applications.Minimum QualificationDoctoral or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.Preferred QualificationDoctoral or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or any related field.Salary Range6,000–8,000Closing DateKindly apply before the closing date: 31/03/2026.#J-18808-Ljbffr
