As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of all hotel public areas, ensuring they meet InterContinental brand standards at all times. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and safe environment for our guests and colleagues.ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, offices, and back-of-house areasEnsure floors, carpets, glass, furniture, and fixtures are kept clean and well-maintainedReplenish supplies in public restrooms and report any maintenance issues promptlyFollow established cleaning schedules and proceduresHandle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsiblySupport special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning tasks as assignedMaintain high standards of hygiene in compliance with health and safety regulationsProvide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and colleaguesQualificationsPrevious experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferredKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety proceduresAbility to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidaysPhysically fit and able to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasksAttention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessPositive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindsetWhat you can expect from usWe give our people everything they need to succeed.
