BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL | Full timeThe Project Manager (IT Infrastructure) will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects spanning networks, servers, storage, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. The role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage vendors, and enforce best practices to support a stable, secure, and scalable IT environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end‑to‑end management of IT infrastructure projects, from initial scoping and budgeting to execution, testing, and handover.Develop project plans, timelines, cost estimates, and resource allocations in alignment with organisational goals.Oversee upgrades, migrations, and implementations related to networks, data centres, hardware, cloud platforms, and security systems.Coordinate with stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.Identify project risks and apply mitigation strategies while maintaining business continuity.Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and prepare status reports for leadership.Manage project documentation, including requirements, technical specifications, and post‑implementation reviews.Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.Support change management activities and facilitate user readiness during transitions.RequirementsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.5–8 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects within medium to large organisations.Proven experience in network, server, storage, cloud, and cybersecurity environments.Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.Experience working with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and service management processes (ITIL certification preferred).Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly advantageous.Preferred SkillsStrong technical understanding of enterprise‑level infrastructure environments.Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), network security, data centre operations, and disaster recovery solutions.Ability to analyse complex technical issues and translate them into business‑friendly language.Vendor management and contract negotiation skills.Excellent planning, budgeting, and financial tracking capabilities.Key AttributesStrong leadership and team‑coordination abilities.Proactive, detail‑oriented, and highly organised.Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.Adaptable, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.A collaborative approach with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
