Power BI DeveloperLocation: Dubai (Onsite) | Engagement Model: Contract (12 Months)Job PurposeTo support the Finance and Supply Chain BI & Analytics function by designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end Power BI and Power Platform solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and Power Automate, and the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights and executive-ready dashboards.The role will work closely with business, finance, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing BI solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & ReportingWrite and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple source systems.Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for executive, finance, and operational users.Perform data validation, reconciliation, and accuracy checks across reports and datasets.Support internal management reporting and ad hoc analytical requests.Business Intelligence & Data StorytellingTranslate business and finance requirements into clear, intuitive visualizations and data stories.Design interactive dashboards that support strategic, tactical, and operational decision making.Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators.Data Modelling & ArchitectureDesign and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with BI best practices.Build optimized star and snowflake schemas to support scalable reporting.Develop efficient DAX measures and calculated columns with performance optimization in mind.Ensure data models support security, scalability, and future enhancements.Data Transformation & IntegrationPerform advanced data transformation using Power Query (M language).Integrate data from multiple internal and external systems including finance, banking, and operational platforms.Work with IT and data governance teams to ensure data lineage, quality, and consistency.Power Platform & AutomationDesign and implement Power Automate workflows to automate reporting, alerts, and business processes.Integrate Power BI solutions with Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel, and other enterprise systems.Performance, Security & GovernanceImplement Power BI security including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace access controls.Optimize datasets using incremental refresh and performance tuning techniques.Ensure compliance with internal data governance and security standards.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in CS, IT, SE, or a related field.4–5 years of hands‑on experience in Data Analysis and Business Intelligence.Preferred experience in Banking, Financial Services, Finance, or Supply chain domains.SkillsMandatory Technical SkillsPower BI (Expert Level): Power BI, Dataflows & GatewaysDAX (Advanced): Complex measures, KPIs, time intelligence, performance optimizationPower Query / M Code (Advanced): Data cleansing and transformationData Modeling: Star schema, dimensional modelingSQL (Strong Hands‑on): Optimized queries for large datasetsPower Automate: Workflow automation and integrationsData Refresh & Performance Optimization: Incremental refresh, large dataset handlingPower BI Security & Governance: Row-Level Security (RLS), access controlExposure to Azure / Cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse, Snowflake) is a strong advantage.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesAbility to work independently in a contract‑based environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyCollaborative mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional teamsContract DetailsDuration: 12 Months (Renewable based on performance and business needs)Engagement: ContractPreferred candidates with strong hands‑on experience in Power BI development, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Power Automate.
