We\'re adding exceptional talent to drive our next phase of growth.About The RoleWe are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join one of our dynamic technical teams, such as Marketplace, Privacy, Passenger, Supply, B2B, etc.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with cross-functional teams (designers, testers, product managers) to gather requirements and discuss project goalsParticipate in the analysis, design and evaluation of technical requirements together with the teamWrite clean, scalable, and efficient code mainly in Go languageImplement new microservices and support old onesPerform unit testing and participate in integration and system testing to ensure the quality of the softwareReview and give feedback on code written by peers to ensure consistency, readability, and efficiencyWrite and maintain technical documentation, including software design documents and user guidesRequirements4+ years of experience developing scalable and reliable backend servicesProficiency with Go/Ruby/Python/C++/Java/Kotlin languagesIn-depth knowledge of common databases and messaging systems like PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Redis/Kafka/RabbitMQ, etc.Intermediate or higher English proficiencyOur current stackGo microservices, shrinking Ruby monolith, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Thrift, Redis, AWS, Terraform, K8s, Jenkins.What We OfferWheely expects the very best from our people, both on the road and in the office.
