The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crane operations and safety protocols, as well as experience in a steel manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate overhead cranes to move and position steel materials and products within the production facilityEnsure safe and efficient operation of the crane at all times, following all safety protocols and proceduresInspect and maintain the crane, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance teamWork closely with production team to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials and productsPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of the crane and surrounding work areaMonitor and record inventory levels of steel materials and report any shortages or discrepanciesAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may ariseAttend training sessions and workshops to continuously improve skills and knowledge of crane operations and safety protocolsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years experience operating overhead cranes, preferably in a steel manufacturing environmentValid crane operator certificationStrong understanding of crane operations and safety protocolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentsGood physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskGood communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to work flexible hours and overtime as neededWe offer competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
