This role involves managing farm staff, production processes, feed and medication programs, equipment, and compliance with animal welfare and food safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFARM OPERATIONS & PRODUCTIONPlan, coordinate, and supervise daily broiler production activitiesMonitor bird health, growth rates, feed conversion ratios (FCR), and mortalityEnsure proper brooding, feeding, watering, lighting, and ventilation practicesImplement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)ANIMAL HEALTH & BIOSECURITYEnforce strict biosecurity and disease prevention measuresCoordinate vaccination, medication, and health programs with veterinariansIdentify and respond promptly to disease outbreaks or production issuesMaintain accurate health and mortality recordsSTAFF MANAGEMENTSupervise, train, and schedule farm workers and supervisorsEnsure staff follows farm protocols, safety procedures, and animal welfare standardsEvaluate employee performance and support skill developmentPromote a safe and productive work environmentFEED, INVENTORY & EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENTManage feed ordering, storage, and usage to minimize wasteOversee inventory of chicks, feed, medications, and farm suppliesEnsure proper maintenance and operation of farm equipment and facilitiesCoordinate repairs and upgrades when neededQUALITY CONTROL & COMPLIANCEEnsure compliance with animal welfare regulations, food safety standards, and company policiesMaintain production and compliance records for audits and inspectionsImplement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and qualityFINANCIAL & PERFORMANCE REPORTINGMonitor production costs and assist with budget planningPrepare regular operational and performance reportsAnalyze production data to improve efficiency and profitabilityQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or related field (preferred)5+ years of experience in broiler poultry farm operations or livestock managementProven experience in team supervision and farm managementTECHNICAL SKILLSStrong knowledge of broiler production systems and best practicesUnderstanding of poultry health, nutrition, and biosecurityAbility to analyze production data and performance metricsPERSONAL SKILLSStrong leadership and communication skillsProblem‑solving and decision‑making abilityAbility to work under pressure and handle emergenciesGood organizational and time‑management skillsWORKING CONDITIONSOn‑site farm‑based positionMay require long hours, weekends, and emergency response availabilityExposure to farm environments including dust, noise, and varying weather conditions
