SEHA is committed to delivering world-class healthcare services using the most advanced diagnostics and systems across its network of public healthcare centers and hospitals in addition to partnering with global leaders in healthcare, including world renowned organizations such as the Mayo Clinic.ResponsibilitiesManagerial/AdministrationSupports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and proceduresHelps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processesParticipates in the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processesAssists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring that adequate medical coverage is provided within the Division at all timesAttends Divisional meetings as requiredAssists the Division Chief in the recruitment of new medical staff when appropriateAssumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Division ChiefOversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and is assumes responsibility for the care they provideComplies with all established hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practicesPractices appropriate utilization of the organization’s resourcesLeads ward round; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practiceAccurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established proceduresRegularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as requiredLiaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as requiredQuality & SafetyHelps lead quality improvement within the DepartmentSupports a culture of regular audit and encourages the use of audit results for improving clinical practiceSupports the reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidentsEducationPromoting and assisting in the instruction, guidance and supervision of junior medical staff (required)Facilitating the provision of essential training relevant to clinical staff in the specialtyShowing commitment to Continued Medical Education (CME)Promotes and participates in clinical research and publicationKeeps abreast of the current, relevant literature and the latest trends and technologies in the industry.QualificationsQualification: a. Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification. b. Tier 2: NLT 8 years full-time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification (includes years in fellowship training) in internationally accredited institute. For UAE Nationals Clinical Fellowship training following primary specialty board may substitute for experience as follows: Each year of clinical fellowship is counted as two years of clinical experienceAdditional QualificationsMedical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialization in NeonatologyAmerican Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, any Western Board, Fellowship or additional certification in NeonatologyMinimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience in NeonatologyValid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) License or eligibility.Experience working within JCI-accredited hospitals is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
