OverviewRequisition Number: 23872BRDescription:Stantec is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer for a DM Sewerage Treatment plant in Dubai. This role supports a project where the authority in Dubai requires rehabilitation of an existing Sewage System to improve efficiency and to extend the plant to receive and treat up to around 435,000 m3/day. The selected candidate will have extensive experience working in local sewage treatment plant facilities and a proven ability to manage and supervise construction works and optimize operation processes within the existing STP in accordance with the specification. Rehabilitation/Repairing of Civil Works; Extension of the Plant to around 175,000 m3/Day; and Rehabilitation of the existing 260,000 m3/Day STP.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage construction works and optimization of operation processes within the existing STP in accordance with project specifications.Rehabilitation / repair of civil works.Extend the plant to around 175,000 m3/day.Rehabilitation of the existing 260,000 m3/day STP.QualificationsThe Mechanical Engineer must possess a degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university with 10–15 years of experience dedicated to supervision work in a similar project’s capacity overseeing mechanical works.Substantial expertise in the design, construction, and supervision of mechanical works, particularly related to pumping stations and force main infrastructure.Proficiency in surge analysis and related site tasks; familiarity with various locations in Dubai for prompt emergency response.Strong interpersonal skills to engage with the public and coordinate with Dubai Municipality projects.Competence in drafting software, Microsoft Office applications, and specialized tools such as WANDA or Water Hammers.Excellent communication abilities in English and strong decision-making capacity.Valid UAE driving license.#LI-MiddleEastPreferred SpecificationsBachelor’s Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized university.About StantecWe’re active members of the communities we serve.
