QA/QC Engineer – MechanicalLocation: DubaiJob SummaryThe QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical construction, installation, fabrication, and commissioning activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and client quality requirements. The role involves inspection, documentation, coordination with project teams, and implementation of quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain the Project Quality Management System in line with ISO and client requirementsReview and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and proceduresConduct inspections for mechanical works including piping, structural steel, tanks, pressure vessels, rotating and static equipmentMonitor fabrication, installation, welding, and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved standardsCoordinate and witness NDT activities (RT, UT, PT, MT) and review test resultsEnsure welding activities comply with approved WPS, PQR, and welder qualificationsPrepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, punch lists, and quality recordsLiaise with clients, consultants, third-party inspectors, and subcontractors on quality mattersParticipate in internal audits, quality meetings, and site inspectionsSupport pre-commissioning and commissioning activities from a QA/QC perspectiveEnsure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed effectivelyEssential QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 to 8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in mechanical worksPrior experience in UAE / Middle East projects preferredCertification in CSWIP / AWS / ASNT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) is an advantageSkills & Technical CompetenciesStrong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO)Experience in piping systems, welding inspection, pressure testing, and mechanical installationsProficiency in reviewing ITPs, method statements, drawings, and quality documentationFamiliarity with project quality documentation and handover dossiersGood understanding of HSE and QA/QC compliance requirementsStrong coordination, reporting, and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple inspection activities#J-18808-Ljbffr
