Mechanical Engineer - Construction Supervision

We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Mechanical Engineer specializing to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. In this role you will oversee the mechanical aspects of a large project ensuring compliance with design specifications and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.ResponsibilitiesSupervise mechanical installations on construction sites including HVAC plumbing and fire protection systemsReview and approve mechanical shop drawings and submittals ensuring adherence to project specificationsConduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and local building codesCollaborate with contractors architects and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues efficientlyPrepare detailed reports on construction progress quality control measures and safety protocolsAnalyze and optimize mechanical systems for energy efficiency and performanceManage project timelines and budgets related to mechanical aspects of constructionParticipate in project meetings and provide expert technical guidance to the teamEnsure all mechanical installations meet required standards and UAE regulationsImplement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycleIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for mechanical systems and installationsQualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institutionProfessional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certificationMinimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on construction supervisionStrong knowledge of HVAC systems plumbing and fire protection systemsFamiliarity with building codes and regulations in the UAE particularly those related to mechanical engineeringAdditional InformationAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
