The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing material selection, testing, quality control, and compliance to ensure all materials used on-site meet project specifications, authority requirements, and quality standards. This role is essential in maintaining material integrity, supporting construction activities, and ensuring overall project quality and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project specifications, drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.Evaluate and recommend suitable construction materials for roadworks and infrastructure projects based on technical, environmental, and cost considerations.Ensure all materials comply with relevant standards (ASTM, BS, ISO) and client specifications.Implement and monitor quality control procedures for materials used on-site.Conduct inspections and coordinate laboratory and field testing of materials such as asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soil.Review and approve material test reports, certificates, and compliance documentation.Identify, document, and resolve non-conforming materials and recommend corrective actions.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of approved materials.Evaluate and approve material sources and suppliers in line with project requirements.Monitor material usage, minimize waste, and recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.Maintain records of material approvals, test results, inspections, and related documentation.Prepare reports on material quality, compliance, and usage for project management.Ensure compliance with UAE authority standards and regulations.Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors to address material-related issues.Support proper handling, storage, and installation of materials on-site.Investigate material-related issues and provide technical solutions and preventive measures.Stay updated on industry standards, material technologies, and best practices.Provide guidance and support to junior staff and site teams on material-related matters.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in roads and infrastructure construction projects.At least 5 years of experience in construction supervision within the UAE.Strong knowledge of material properties, testing procedures, and standards (ASTM, BS, ISO).Experience in asphalt, concrete, and soil testing for roadworks.Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and approval processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Proficiency in quality management systems and material testing practices.Why Join Us?At KN International, we deliver forward-thinking infrastructure solutions that contribute to the development of the UAE.
