This will include preparing surfaces, selecting materials in accordance with specifications and constructing frames to support structures. The Mason should also be able to identify any potential safety hazards on the job site andensure that these are addressed in a timely manner according to specified procedures.The successful candidate should have basic knowledge of building materials as well as experience using tools such as hammers, saws, trowels and mixers to carry out their work. Experience in reading plans or blueprints is also advantageous.
