We continue to win important contracts and projects throughout this program and others. We are actively searching for Plumbers to work on an OBO Embassy project in Doha, Qatar. Plumbers must possess an active SECRET clearance, a valid passport, and the ability to obtain appropriate work visas and other required documentation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInstall plumbing fixturesRough in piping for domestic water, chilled water, and sanitary pipingInstall fire sprinkler piping, valves and associated componentsInstall various types of pipe insulation and jacketingCut and thread all types of pipe from 1/2” to 8”Solder copper pipe and fittingsTest piping systems using a Hydro Static test pumpKeep work area and material staging areas clean and orderlyInventory mechanical material in the warehouseGenerate material take-offsAdhere to safety requirements and Think Safety FirstAbility to generate as-built drawings for changed field conditionsAssist with other assigned duties as required within skill set, even if outside of tradeJOB REQUIREMENTS5 years of commercial plumbing experience2+ years’ construction industry experience on overseas projectsAbility to read and understand blueprintsAbility to read and interpret job specificationsKnowledge of the International Plumbing Codes and International Building CodesBasic understanding of construction principles and proceduresHigh school diploma or equivalentThorough knowledge of the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools to perform assigned dutiesFlexibility in working overseasUnderstanding and adherence to local laws and customs in host countryFollowing all Government site security requirements to maintain eligibility to work on project siteAbility to take direction and work well with others, including meeting attendance requirements necessary to keep job on schedule and adherence to safety protocolsPHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSThe demands described here are not exhaustive but are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The minimum Personal Protective Equipment required on the Project Site include hardhat, safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes. The employee must be able to hear warning sounds and alarms, communicate effectively with coworkers and follow written and spoken instructions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Mental Demands: The position requires a high degree of concentration in a busy environment.
