Job DescriptionPosition Title: Manager CNC MaintenanceLocation: Dammam, Saudi ArabiaIndustry: Steel Fabrication / Heavy EngineeringDepartment: MaintenanceReports To: Head Engineering / Plant ManagerJob PurposeThe Manager CNC Maintenance is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities related to CNC machines and associated fabrication equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while driving continuous improvement, cost control, and compliance with Saudi industrial and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCNC & Equipment MaintenancePlan, organize, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for CNC machines such as:CNC Plasma & Oxy-fuel cutting machinesCNC Laser cutting machinesCNC Press BrakesCNC Plate Bending / Rolling machinesCNC Drilling, Milling, and Machining CentersEnsure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime through effective maintenance strategies.Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions (RCA).Maintenance Management & PlanningDevelop and monitor maintenance schedules, checklists, and SOPs for all CNC and allied equipment.Maintain accurate maintenance records, history logs, spares consumption, and downtime reports using CMMS or ERP systems.Prepare annual maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs without compromising equipment reliability.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanical, electrical, and CNC maintenance technicians.Assign jobs, monitor performance, and ensure skill development through training and coaching.Ensure adequate manpower planning to support shift operations.Spare Parts & Vendor ManagementIdentify critical spares, optimize inventory levels, and ensure availability to avoid production loss.Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and local vendors for AMC, breakdown support, and machine upgrades.Evaluate suppliers for quality, cost, and service efficiency.Safety, Quality & ComplianceEnsure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, Aramco / SABIC safety standards (if applicable), and company HSE requirements.Conduct risk assessments, tool box talks, and safety audits related to maintenance activities.Ensure proper machine guarding, interlocks, and safe maintenance practices (LOTO).Continuous Improvement & ProjectsImplement TPM, Lean Maintenance, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives.Support installation, commissioning, relocation, and upgrading of CNC machines.Drive productivity improvement and energy efficiency projects.QualificationsDegree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics EngineeringRelevant technical certifications in CNC maintenance or industrial automation are an advantageExperience10-15 years of maintenance experience in a steel fabrication or heavy engineering environmentMinimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role handling CNC maintenanceStrong exposure to CNC machine troubleshooting, drives, PLCs, servo systems, hydraulics, and pneumaticsTechnical SkillsIn-depth knowledge of:CNC controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.)Electrical panels, VFDs, servo drives, motorsHydraulics and pneumatics systemsAbility to read and interpret:Electrical schematicsMechanical drawingsPLC ladder logic (basic to intermediate)Familiarity with CMMS / ERP systemsSoft Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilityEffective communication and coordination across departmentsCost consciousness and result-oriented mindsetAbility to work under pressure in a production-driven environmentAdditional RequirementsWillingness to work extended hours during breakdowns or shutdownsExperience working in the GCC / Saudi Arabia will be a strong advantageValid driving license preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
