<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the hotel’s physical infrastructure and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for guests and employees. Reporting to the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering, the Maintenance Supervisor supports the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and assists in various projects and initiatives.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and other areas to upkeep the functioning of the hotel.</li><li>Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to the satisfaction of guests.</li><li>Conduct routine inspection of the property and complete the checklists.</li><li>Assist in implementing and carrying out preventive maintenance programs for all hotel systems and equipment.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing malfunctions and make necessary repairs or adjustments.</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with external contractors or vendors when required.</li><li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to building codes.</li><li>Participate in fire safety drills and emergency response procedures, contributing to the overall safety of guests and staff.</li><li>Assist in capital improvement projects, renovations, and equipment upgrades as directed by the Chief Engineer or management team.</li><li>Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.</li><li>Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repair activities.</li><li>Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.</li><li>Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.</li><li>Prepare reports on work performed, equipment status, and maintenance schedules as required.</li><li>Responsible for overall day-to-day operation.</li><li>Inspect the operating condition of the engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained.</li><li>Flag any major problems or emergencies to the Director of Engineering.</li><li>Participate and actively involve in energy conservation programs and cost-effective maintenance works.</li><li>Assist the Director of Engineering in educating and training all Engineering employees in work safety standards, engineering standards, and provides technical information as required.</li><li>Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with the team.</li><li>Monitor and ensure that guest complaints are attended to within standard time to ensure guest satisfaction.</li><li>Supervise preventive maintenance and repairs conducted in the property.</li><li>Prioritize engineering service requests to ensure guest convenience and satisfaction.</li><li>Ensure that engineering and work areas are in order and clean condition.</li><li>Regularly examine, test, and maintain life safety systems to protect guests, employees, and assets.</li><li>Report any incident of guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters of significance to management so that corrective measures may be taken.</li><li>Resolve operational problems in compliance with hotel policies and procedures.</li></ul><h3>Key competencies</h3><ul><li>Communication</li><li>Service excellence</li><li>Service efficiency</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Accountability</li><li>Problem solving ability</li><li>Organizational skills</li><li>Flexibility</li><li>Reliability</li><li>Can do attitude</li></ul><h3>Background</h3><ul><li>Engineering / Maintenance qualification.</li><li>At least 2 years’ experience as a shift engineer in a similar type of hotel / establishment.</li><li>Language requirement: English (Basic / conversational / professional / native)</li><li>Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
