We are looking for a competent Maintenance Engineer to support all company projects and ensure efficient maintenance of plant, machinery, and vehicles.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Support all company projects including Ship Repair, Oil&Gas, Central Projects, Rig Repair, and internal projects.</li><li>Receive instructions from PMV Superintendent, assess yard requirements, estimate resources, and schedule activities within budget.</li><li>Assign and monitor tasks for Foreman and Leadman to ensure timely completion.</li><li>Coordinate with Planning/Project teams to manage allocated man-hours and achieve productivity targets.</li><li>Guide teams on toolbox talks and maintain high standards of housekeeping and work culture.</li><li>Maintain daily progress reports and update Project/Planning teams during review meetings.</li><li>Monitor productivity and elevate resource challenges to PMV Superintendent.</li><li>Arrange equipment/tools through Purchase Requests (PR) based on departmental requirements.</li><li>Review enquiries from Commercial Department and provide technical input for quotations.</li><li>Manage maintenance and proper handling of tools and equipment received from stores.</li><li>Ensure regular inspection and preventive maintenance of yard equipment, machinery, buildings, vehicles, and plant.</li><li>Prepare and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and submit periodic breakdown reports.</li><li>Maintain optimal spare parts inventory for critical equipment.</li><li>Oversee maintenance and records of yard vehicles including compliance and annual inspections.</li><li>Coordinate hiring/off-hiring of equipment, tools, and machinery as per project requirements.</li><li>Manage plant systems including electrical, HVAC, water, CCTV, and telecommunications.</li><li>Maintain records and support internal and external audits related to PMV department.</li><li>Support project activities requiring carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical services.</li><li>Ensure housekeeping for office, canteen, and yard facilities through manpower coordination.</li><li>Support subcontractors for yard development, civil works, and infrastructure projects.</li><li>Assist in waste management and disposal of scrap materials.</li><li>Support calibration of equipment and lifting gear in coordination with stores.</li><li>Prepare production reports and provide feedback to Operations Manager and Management.</li><li>Coordinate with departments for operational efficiency of PMV services.</li><li>Manage departmental administration including attendance, leave, training, and appraisals.</li><li>Participate in incident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective actions.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience</h3><ul><li>Education: Diploma / Graduate Engineer / Equivalent technical qualification</li><li>Experience: 8–15 years of relevant experience in maintenance within oil&gas, marine, or heavy industry</li><li>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of plant, machinery, and vehicle maintenance</li><li>Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance systems</li><li>Familiarity with resource planning and procurement processes</li></ul></li><li>Certifications: Professional training certifications preferred</li><li>Software: Proficient in MS Office</li><li>Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory</li><li>Competencies:<ul><li>Accountability and professional integrity</li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills</li><li>Problem-solving and initiative</li><li>Adaptability and teamwork</li><li>QHSE awareness</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Why Join Us?</h3><ul><li>Be part of a leading marine and engineering organization in the UAE</li><li>Work across diverse and high-impact projects in oil&gas and marine sectors</li><li>Opportunity to lead and optimize maintenance operations</li><li>Strong safety culture and structured processes</li><li>Collaborative work environment with career growth opportunities</li></ul><h3>About the Team</h3><p>Ali&Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) was established in 2009 with the aim of catering to the Marine and Oil&Gas Industry in the UAE.
